Well now,
Now, as for the philosophical meanderings I was promising last journal entry, how's this : two nights ago I was walking down the street late in the evening when I overheard this one anglophone (Keep in mind I live in Québec) trying to explain Schrödinger's theory
Well, also on my reading list, I've topped off 10 000 Leagues Under the Sea today. I intend on reading the sequel, Mysterious Island, someday, but I'm thinking of buying Darwin's On The Origin of Species first. And as a "sequel" to that reading, eventually I would like to read Elaine Morgan's most recent book on the aquatic ape theory. Again, if you're not familiar with this hypothesis, I strongly suggest you read up on it or watch the documentaries on Youtube (or search for the 20 minute conference given by Morgan on TED talks). Fascinating stuff stating that humans descend not from apes on the savanna, but apes that initially evolved for swimming and wading in water.
Well now, I do hope this journal will incite people to engage into a conversation on the topics stated above. I've always believed that science, art, and philosophy are close cousins that should regularly mingle.
On that, a pleasant evening to all and I bid you good night.
-Jos
